The awards recognize leaders in the development and deployment of WiMAX technologies. Now in its third year, the Best of WiMAX World Awards has become the premier showcase for the most innovative devices and deployments in the field. Previous award recipients include Motorola, Sprint, Clearwire, Alvarion, PicoChip, Fujitsu and Sequans, to name a few. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Nominations
Nominations are open to exhibitors, sponsors and presenters of the WiMAX World 2008 Conference & Expo, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, 2008, in Chicago. Products need not be certified by the WiMAX Forum to be considered. Nominations must be submitted via the Web form below. Addendums will not be accepted. Only one nomination per form will be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be judged and will result in disqualification.

Deadline
All submissions are due no later than Aug. 8, 2008. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Categories
Awards will be given in the following categories:

• Service Provider Deployment
• System Design
• Devices/Peripherals/Application Software
• Chip Design
• Industry Innovation
• Industry Choice

Judging
Final selection of winners will be made by the Best of WiMAX World Awards Selection Committee, which includes experts from the WiMAX community. The Industry Choice award finalists will be determined by the judging panel and will be voted at the WiMAX World 2008 Conference & Expo by attendees. Submissions will be rated on criteria outlined for each category by the respective judges.

Selection Committee
The Selection Committee will include representatives from xchange, Trendsmedia and invited subject matter experts.

Industry Choice Award
The Industry Choice Award is given to the product or deployment chosen by the WiMAX World 2008 Conference & Expo delegates to be the most innovative and esteemed of the year. The selection of Industry Choice finalists will be made by the selection committee. Online voting will be held on the WiMAX World 2008 Conference & Expo Web site prior to the commencement of the event. Voting then will resume at the WiMAX World 2008 Conference & Expo during Exhibit Hall hours on Oct. 1, 2008. The winner will be announced that evening at the Best of WiMAX World 2008 Awards presentation.

Awards Presentation
The Best of WiMAX World 2008 Awards will be presented on Oct. 1 during a special presentation at the WiMAX World 2008 Conference & Expo in Chicago. Winners will receive personalized trophies as well as electronic files for use in their marketing and advertising.

Press Coverage
Award winners will be acknowledged on the event and xchange Web sites and in a future issue of xchange magazine.
