Berge Ayvazian
Chief Strategy Officer, Yankee Group

Berge oversee Yankee Group's new growth mission, providing thought leadership for the firm's research, consulting and events in the mobile, telecom, IT, applications, media and entertainment industries worldwide. Working with the company's diverse research groups, Ayvazian ensures Yankee Group is aligned with clients to help them visualize, navigate and generate value from current and future business opportunities. As a senior industry analyst and consultant, Ayvazian directs a wide range of research and consulting projects across a broad group of topics, including communications industry structure, broadband service provider strategy, mobile network infrastructure, enterprise networking strategy, information technology and applications.


Laurence Deforeit
Director, Strategic Marketing Carrier Networks, Nortel

Laurence Deforeit is Director, Strategic Marketing Carrier Networks at Nortel. In this role, Laurence is responsible for promoting Nortel's WiMAX, 4G, IMS, VoIP and multimedia solutions including the direction of Nortel's participation to high profile events worldwide. Since joining Nortel in 1990, Laurence has held a number of management positions in Carrier, Wireless, Enterprise and Corporate marketing and combines expertise in diverse marketing functions.


Tom Gruba
Senior Director of Marketing for MOTOwi4, Motorola

Tom Gruba is the Senior Director of Marketing for the MOTOwi4 WiMAX within the Home and Networks Mobility business of Motorola. Gruba started marketing Motorola's wireless broadband products with the 2002 launch of its award winning Canopy(R) wireless broadband portfolio. He has been with Motorola for ten years and has served in various business development and marketing roles in both Motorola Networks and the Internet Content and Software Group. Prior to joining Motorola, Gruba was at ATT Bell Laboratories, ATT Network Systems and Lucent Technologies for 13 years where he held numerous management roles in engineering and product marketing. Gruba earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois, and an Associate in Applied Science degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.


Zeus Kerravala
SVP, Enterprise Technology, Yankee Group

Zeus Kerravala is senior vice president of Yankee Group's Enterprise Research. Kerravala manages the research and consulting agenda that enables Anywhere EnterpriseTM clients to meet the demands of the global connectivity revolution. Kerravala's expertise involves working with customers to solve their business issues through the deployment of infrastructure technology.


Merji Khorchidian
Head of Marketing, Convergence Sector, Nokia Siemens Networks

Merji Khorchidian leads marketing for the Convergence Markets business team at Nokia Siemens Networks in North America and has been deeply involved in promoting the WiMAX Ecosystem. Merji has more than 18 years of international marketing and sales experience in network infrastructure. His previous role was Head of Technology Marketing for North America. Other roles have included Head of Marketing – North and Central Europe and Head of Sales Support – Central and Eastern Europe. Merji earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in Elecrical and Computer Engineering from CU Boulder.


Yeon Mee Kwak
Manager, Global Marketing Group, Telecommunication Systems Division, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.

Yeon Mee Kwak is Manager in Samsung Electronics Company, Ltd., in Korea. Her main mission is global marketing communication for Mobile WiMAX and Fixed Mobile Convergence solutions. Yeon Mee Kwak received her M.B.A degree from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute for Science and Technology) in 2006 and B.A. degree in Politics with major in Mass Communication from Yonsei University, Korea in 1996.


Philip Marshall
VP, Enterprise Research, Yankee Group

Philip Marshall, Ph.D., is vice president of Yankee Group's Enabling Technologies-Telco group. Dr. Marshall leads telecom technology research, which arms clients with the knowledge and tools to capitalize on the global connectivity change. He manages analysts focused on service providers' perspective to investigate market and service opportunities and trends for telecommunication systems. Dr. Marshall joined Yankee Group in 2000, holding various roles including managing Yankee Group's wireless technology research.


DongJu Na
Director of Marketing Department, FLYVO Business Division, POSDATA

DJ NA is the Director of FLYVO Marketing in POSDATA which is providing mobile WiMAX End-to-end solutions from Base stations, ASN-gateways, network management systems to user terminals such as mobile WiMAX enabled on-line gaming devices to the customers worldwide since he joined POSDATA in 2003. Prior to joining POSDATA, he had over 16 years of product marketing and engineering experiences in Cisco Systems, Stratacom, AT&T Network Systems, LG-EDS etc.


Ashish Sharma
Corporate VP of Market Development Alvarion Ltd. and
WiMAX Forum Marketing Working Group (MWG) Strategy & Business Development

Mr. Sharma is responsible for many aspects of global business responsibilities within the Alvarion Ltd. corporate marketing management team and serves as the Alvarion company spokesperson. In addition, he drives corporate strategy initiatives and corporate market development efforts for several key markets and handles the strategy and business development for the WiMAX Forum MWG. Mr. Sharma has been instrumental in early development of the WiMAX industry initiatives and has supported this growth through key activities both with Alvarion and WiMAX Forum.

Don Stroberg
Vice President, Sales and Distribution, XOHM, a Sprint Nextel Business

Don Stroberg is Vice president, Sales and Distribution for Xohm, a Sprint Nextel business. He previously headed wireless broadband strategic planning for Sprint Nextel, and was responsible for new product and services opportunities, partnerships and innovation efforts within the 4G business unit. Earlier he served as Vice President, Customer Experience, and he also developed corporate strategy for Nextel Communications. Before Sprint, Don was with Deloitte Consulting and the New Aircraft Products Division of McDonnell Douglas.

Kevin Suitor
VP of Marketing and Business Development, Redline Communications

Kevin Suitor is widely recognized for his expertise in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Suitor is the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Redline Communications Inc., a manufacturer of standards-based broadband fixed wireless access and backhaul solutions in the 2 to 11 GHz bands. Mr. Suitor is also Redline’s delegate for WiMAX and sits on the Marketing Working Group for WiMAX. Mr. Suitor has been actively involved over the years in the ATM Forum and Wireless Communications Association. He has written numerous articles in several industry publications and is a regular speaker on topics such as: Broadband Fixed Wireless, 802.16, WiMAX, Softswitches, Voice over IP, ATM, Gigabit Ethernet and Virtual Private Networks.


Eliot Weinman
President, Trendsmedia, the Events & Publishing Division, Yankee Group

Eliot Weinman is the president of Yankee Group's events and publishing division. Weinman is charged with producing groundbreaking global industry events and publications that investigate the challenges and opportunities of the global connectivity revolution. Weinman has created more than 150 tradeshows, dozens of trade publications and has consulted many of the world's leading technology companies. He is conference chair of WiMAX World Conference & Expo, the world's largest WiMAX events in the USA , Europe and Asia . Before Yankee Group, he founded and sold four successful integrated media companies, the most recent of which is Trendsmedia, the events and publishing division of Yankee Group.


Roberta Wiggins
Research Fellow, Yankee Group

Roberta Wiggins is a research fellow in Yankee Group’s Enabling Technologies Service Provider group with an expertise in mobility. Wiggins focuses on the evolution of broadband wireless, including emerging cellular and disruptive high-speed wireless technologies, such as Wi-Fi, WiFi-mesh, WiMAX, OFDM and TDD-WCDMA and the adoption of wireless broadband solutions in the consumer, enterprise and municipal markets. She is a leader in forecasting the evolution of broadband solutions, the demand for services and supporting technologies. She assists vendor/carrier clients on strategic initiatives, including market positioning in an increasingly competitive environment and capitalizing for investments in broadband wireless by exploiting opportunities in new service categories.
