PRESS REGISTRATION

Media Credential Requirements

WiMAX World media credentials are reserved for working print, online and broadcast journalists with commercial news organizations and industry and financial analysts who publish with recognized research firms.

NOTE: Marketing, public relations, advertising, sales, art directors, managers, publishers and other non-editorial professionals of media organizations are NOT eligible for media credentials and should proceed to General Attendee Registration, or check with your booth contact if you are an exhibitor.

A history of being registered at previous WiMAX World shows does not guarantee approval or waive the credential requirements. You will need to email a link or electronic copy of your credential documents, and WiMAX World will review your credentials and notify you within one (1) week if you are approved or denied. Please note that completing the pre-registration process does not guarantee that you will receive media credentials.

WiMAX World reserves the right to revoke issued media credentials/registration at any time. Media credentials will not be granted to anyone whose principal purpose for WiMAX World events is, in our judgment, for reasons other than covering them as working news media.

Please review WiMAX World Media Credential Requirements below:

Print & Newswire Reporters:
To qualify as media, print and newswire journalists must provide:

  • A bylined industry-related article from your publication written by you and published within the last six months; copy must clearly show the name of your publication and your byline.

Freelance Journalists and Photographers:
You must be a freelance journalist attending on behalf of at least one publication. Marketing, PR or other industry executives who contribute bylined articles to news outlets are not eligible for press credentials. Freelance writers from unqualified media outlets are not eligible for press credentials. Qualification of all media outlets will be determined by WiMAX World.

To qualify as media, freelance journalists and photographers must provide BOTH:

  • A letter from an editor or producer on organization letterhead stating that you are covering WIMAX WORLD on assignment for their news organization, AND
  • A bylined, industry-related article from the publication you are representing, published within the last six months; copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline.

Online Reporters:
Please Note: Only journalists with commercial news Web sites qualify for WiMAX World media credentials. Web sites must be previously established and updated regularly with original and current wireless industry news. Fan sites, personal blogs or Web site writers, designers, editors or creators do not qualify for media credentials.

Online media must meet all criteria below:

  • The Web site must have a paid reporting staff of two or more. The Web site must post original, dated, industry-related news at least once per week. Web site content must extend beyond newsletters, links, forums, personal diaries, opinion or personal analysis.

To qualify as media, online reporters must provide:

  • A copy/link to your online publication with your name and title appearing in an editorial capacity, including a bylined, industry-related article from your publication written by you and published within the last six months; the copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline.

Broadcast Journalists & Photographers:
Please Note: Each member of a broadcast crew must register separately.

To qualify as media, broadcast journalists and photographers must provide:

  • A Web site link or letter from a producer/editor on company letterhead stating that you are covering WiMAX World and are on assignment.

Industry and Financial Analysts

Industry and Financial Analyst professionals may attent this event at a discount. Please contact Kate Walsh for more information.

To qualify as media, analysts must hold an analyst title from a recognized research firm or financial institution and must provide:

  • A recent, industry-related white paper, brief, report or bulletin with your byline, published within the last six months. Reports must be relevant to the industry, made independently and not solicited by exhibiting companies.

WiMAX World reserves the right to revoke previously issued accreditation/registration at any time. Accreditation will not be granted to anyone whose principal purpose for attending WiMAX World events is, in our judgment, for reasons other than covering them as working news media.
